For most
of you this will be your last year as a student at Trinity. Some of you have
moved off-campus and all of you should be anxious for this academic year to
start. Now more than ever you have the opportunity to own your educational
experience, diving deeper into the specifics of your major while also selecting
classes outside of your major that interest you. As this year kicks-off I
challenge you to find a quiet spot on-campus and ask yourself these questions:
What does
life after Trinity look like for me?
What do I
still want to accomplish with my time remaining?
How do I
plan to engage with the classes below me to ensure I impact those students?
If you
have moved off- campus what is your plan for staying connected to the Trinity
community?
What
relationships with faculty and staff are important to me and how can I
facilitate that relationship developing even further this year?
Build out
a plan for your last year and then work your plan. This reflection time will
ensure you are thinking methodically about your educational experience and
should help your focus as your begin your last year. Seize your senior year!
